Hector Luis was born in The Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York to poor, strict Puerto Rican Catholic parents (first log on the comedy fire).
He was a good kid (relatively speaking).
At 13 Hector was interested in performing in The I.S. 49 Musical Comedy Company's Production of "South Pacific".
He landed the part of "Captain Brackett" (the only non singing part in a musical). That was the moment Hector gave up his singing career.
When Hector was 13 his favorite uncle gave him his first beer (Carlsburg), and first comedy albums Richard Pryor's "That Nigger's Crazy" & George Carlin's "Occupation: Foole". He found a new passion. He started seeking out other comedians (Lenny Bruce, Redd Foxx, Woody Allen, Bill Cosby, Robert Klein etc.) Then one day he saw Freddie Prinze and Hector realized Puerto Ricans can do this too! ( the moron honestly thought that only jews & black people did comedy!)
One day he stepped into an open mic & the addiction began. Hector embarked on his new life's mission entertaining people while doing what he loves. He has performed at various venues in The Tri-state area.
He also has been in a couple of motion pictures as well as TV shows (for more details, see resume above). He is a regular guest on "The Vinny K Show"on WRCR Radio.
Hector still lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his wife & children. Where he lives & loves life
